There is a reason why all of the pros are using SkyCaddie. UPRO may look like a spiffy unit but is it really that accurate? UPRO along with Golf Buddy and the rest of SkyCaddie's competitors use satellite images which are not overly accurate or necessarily up to date. SkyGolf is the only company that takes the time and spends the money to professionally map each and every course in its database, giving you all the information that you need to play your best round of golf.
The NEGATIVES about UPRO
- Does not work very well with Mac computers.
-No Score Card
- No Intelligreen
-Flyover distorts when you zoom in
- Not nearly as accurate
- Too many numbers on the screen
- Tech support is almost non-existent

I recently purchased a UPRO. I thought it was the newest and the best thing out there. I took it out on my home course and found that the fly-over view was not available.Needless to say i was very dissapointed.I decided to give it another try with another golf course that actually had the fly over. I went with a friend who owns te SG5 just to compare.Right off the first tee there was a difference in yardages.Where UPRO was off the markers by 5 yards, SkyCaddie was dead on.I could't believe it, here are 2 GPS systems very close in price, but one i so much more accurate then the other. My friend later explaned to me that SkyCaddie physically goes and maps every course whereas other GSP systems us satelite images. From the point forward i was a SkyCaddie user. I returned me UPRO and exchanged it for the SG5.In golf you can't make up for poor yardages and with SkyCaddie i'm never dissapointed.
ReplyDeleteSkyCaddie totally owns! UPRO's existence only shows us how SkyCaddie rises above the competition. If it's not a SkyCaddie, don't even bother...
